Paddenbroek, Gooik

The new Plattelandscentrum Paddenbroek is located in a beautiful location at the foot of the Kesterheide in Gooik and along the old tram bed. The building itself is a beautiful piece of architecture where old and new are combined into a valuable and unique project. In the gardens you will find a standard orchard with about 200 fruit trees, a pool, an ecological vegetable garden, small fruit labyrinth, a restored oven and a bee hall.

The fragile balance between the Pajotten landscape, nature and agriculture wants to be cherished, propagated and strengthened by the Pajottenland - Paddenbroek Rural Center. Paddenbroek builds on five strong pillars: agriculture, nature, sustainability, tourism/recreation and regional identity.
