Windmill Hertboom, Roosdal

This rural mill is already mentioned in a tax book from 1391 under the name Hertboommolen.

The name was only 'repressed' in the 20th century by the 'Tragische Molen', following two murders that took place in the mill.

In the 1960s, the mill gained national fame because it served as a home for the youth serial 'Kapitein Zeppos'.

The Hertboommolenmuseum and a reception area for visitors were opened in the barn of the Molenhof.
